🛡️ Panasonic officially calls this the auxiliary light curtain sensor, compatible with the Hengdi and Ruidi series. It is a safety upgrade device for anti-pinch and anti-collision on sliding doors; installation height, probe alignment and wiring method directly affect the anti-pinch performance.

📐 Key Installation Points

① Drilling
Drill a φ12mm embedded hole in the frame; keep the two probe mirrors in the same plane.
② Height
Single set: 600mm above the floor; double set: 300mm / 900mm for dual protection.
③ Deburring
Remove burrs after drilling to prevent soft-wire damage.
④ Threading
Use a weight to guide the soft wire from the motor box through the frame and out of the embedded hole.
⑤ Into the Box
Feed the soft wire back into the motor box; seat the probe into the embedded hole and fix it.
⑥ Alignment
The two probes must face each other directly; distance ≤ 6m.
⚠️ Key note: a tilted probe, misaligned probes, or a distance over 6m will prevent the beam from reaching the receiver, causing the door to enter a constant-open state and lose anti-pinch protection. When wiring, push the terminals fully home and connect per the official diagram; otherwise operation will be faulty.
